Updated Safety Measures
Each visitor to the building will be asked to ring the bell to get into the building. Before entering, visitors will be asked to remove their hat or hood. Visitors will also be asked to state their name and their purpose for visiting before entering.
We are asking that visitors to the building do NOT hold the door open for another visitor.
Parents of morning Pre-K students who pick their students up at dismissal will wait for their child outside the front door. A Pre-K staff member will meet you at the door. Please be prepared to show the staff member your dismissal card. After you have shown your dismissal card, your child will meet you at the front door. If you do not have your dismissal card, you will enter the building and sign your child out at the front office.
Before leaving the building, please return your visitor's pass to the main office. Thank you in advance for following these safety procedures. We appreciate your cooperation.
Cold Weather and Heat
Just a reminder about the heating system as the weather gets colder. During the school day, BCPS maintains the classroom temperature at a range of 68-70 degrees. Please keep in mind that this may not be as warm as the temperature in your home. The units are meant to circulate fresh, outside air throughout the day. Please be sure to dress your children for the weather. If your child feels chilly in school, it is a good idea to have them keep a sweater or sweatshirt in their locker.
